Job/Internship Description

Job Description

Job responsibilities will include assisting with the Engineering team in design, development, fabrication and testing of Airborne electronic and mechanical systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and perform electrical and/or mechanical engineering research, design development and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications.
  • Electrical Engineering support
  • Cable building, wire stripping and crimping, soldering, installation of avionics equipment
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Assisting with electrical wiring drawings
  • Mechanical Engineering support
  • Assist AEVEX E&T Mechanical and Structural Engineers with designing 3D models for structures and electrical enclosures for airborne applications
  • Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
  • Along with assisting the AEVEX E&T Engineering team on current programs the Engineering Intern will be given a summer long project of their choosing to complete.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program in Engineering or applicable technical field
  • Detail oriented and capable with working in a team environment
  • Experience in the following software tools is preferred but not all required
    • Solidworks
    • DraftSight
    • National Instruments LabVIEW
    • Microsoft Visio
