We are looking for a talented R&D Intern to join our team.
Summary of Position An intern is sought to participate in research and development activities seeking to develop new transdermal and microneedle drug delivery products. Work will be scoped to include a combination of lab research, data recording and analysis, and writing a brief technical report to summarize results. The intern will gain experience manufacturing microneedle arrays using laboratory-scale equipment as well as characterizing the microneedle arrays using various analytical equipment. In addition, designed experiments will be conducted to understand variables that impact the performance of the arrays and associated delivery devices. Good documentation is needed and the intern will develop skills using electronic laboratory notebooks, following Standard Operating Procedures and analyzing experimental data. The internship will be full time for 12 weeks during the summer of 2022.
Job Responsibilities
Manufacture experimental microneedle array drug products using laboratory-scale manufacturing equipment.
Conduct laboratory experiments to characterize the performance of experimental microneedle products.
Document experiments in an electronic laboratory notebook.
Analyze and summarize experimental results clearly.
Communicate results to others and participate in planning of additional experiments.
Key Working Relationships This role must maintain strong working relationships cross-functionally with other employees locally and globally.
Skills & Experience
Enrolled in undergraduate program with 1-year of college experience
Seeking degree in Science or Engineering major for example: Chemical/Mechanical Engineer, Chemistry, Physics, Material Scientist, Biology
Interested in Lab based position
Proficient in MS Office programs
Preferred: CAD based mechanical drawing skills
