Description:

We are seeking an Administrative/IT Intern to join our corporate admin team. If you are a driven individual who is diligent, detail-oriented, and looking to make an impact, this internship may be a great fit for you.

The Administrative/IT Intern is responsible for supporting a variety of administrative and IT functions such as reviewing and analyzing reports, answering phones and making calls, filing, managing supplies, drafting correspondences, proofreading and editing, maintaining storage inventory, helping out with basic helpdesk inquiries, and other office-related work.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review documents, emails, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Effectively verify data by reviewing, correcting, deleting or reentering as necessary.
  • Order office and marketing supplies and monitor inventory.
  • Produce mailing labels and reports as requested.
  • Assist staff with administrative duties as requested.
  • Assist with the analysis and/or completion of necessary reports as requested.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and resolve any discrepancies in line with company policy and procedure.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor to report progress or any issues with assigned tasks.
  • Answer phone calls, route calls, and take messages as needed.
  • Place calls on behalf of the credit union in line with special projects and reports.
  • Respond to and manage emails, calendars, and schedules as needed.
  • Able to learn about entry-level IT tasks if interested in that area of focus.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time internship with an average of 25-30 hours per week. Hours can be flexible, but must fall within standard operating hours (i.e. 8:30 am - 4:30 pm) and must be discussed with and approved by Management in advance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be computer literate with an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, namely Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to review and/or compile data spreadsheets in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Effective and professional communication skills in both verbal and written format.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal follow-up from supervisors.
  • Must be deadline-driven, self-motivated, and able to follow through with assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Associates degree.

TEFCU requires all new employees/interns working in its facilities or interacting with other employees, members, or persons to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and new employees/interns must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated prior to the first day of employment. Individuals may seek a medical or a religious exemption to the vaccination requirement.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Our corporate office is not accessible to the general public. We have a vast amount of protective measures in place to ensure the continued safety of our staff. The workspace is not crowded and you will not be exposed to many individuals during work.
