Manage and support the optimization, operationalization, testing and implementation of new food ingredients, products and processes into the Applebee's system to achieve profitable transaction growth objectives.

Specific Responsibilities will Include:

• Manage the development of high potential dishes, and improvement of core menu products and procedures in collaboration with cross functional and supplier partners. Daily collaboration required.

• Meet specified success criteria for operational execution and procedure design.

• Perform tests and collect data on ingredients, products, equipment and procedures. Compose spreadsheets, reports and documents to help inform fact based decisions daily. Communicate findings to cross-functional team members. Use this data to support specification development and all phases of operations testing and market testing to ensure successful system wide implementation.

• Manage projects, relationships and expectations with cross-functional teams and supplier partners to meet business objectives and timelines. Collaborate with brand marketing managers and culinary innovation leadership to ensure that development priorities deliver against brand strategy and that marketing positioning can inform product development.

• Support and execute creative sessions with cross-functional teams and vendor partners to support strategic innovation. Provide creative culinary vision and direction to guide and influence product development and the overall food culture at Applebee's. Understand all business dynamics that impact your menu category and assigned projects relative to supply, operations, restaurant capability, supplier capability, competitive pressures, financial implications, consumer need states, quality assurance and culinary trends. Plan and execute product showings for culinary innovation team, high level executive meetings, large internal and external events, franchisee advisory meetings and annual conferences.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor Degree preferred: Food Science, Culinary, Hospitality or Nutrition

• Multi-Unit restaurant experience preferred with a strong Culinary background

• Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills

• Creative thinker with ability to achieve results in a dynamic environment

• Passion for food

• Ability to develop strong partnerships and alliances with field, operations and innovation teams

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Starting Salary at $100,000
