Overview

The Project Engineer will join the Project Execution Team in major natural gas pipeline integrity, retrofits, pipeline replacement, and pipeline hydrotest transmission projects and planning distribution work.

Responsibilities
    Provides project support for job responsibilities.
  • Understands project scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Support early technical scope development.
  • Works with project team and stakeholders for all project related duties.
  • Perform record research and information gathering at various client site offices.
  • Complete engineering deliverables to Company requirements and standards.
  • Leads and coordinates design for projects.
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
  • Review design drawings for constructability, design and accuracy at 30%, 60%, 90% and 95% design levels.
  • Work with Project Manager to select special design options.
  • Oversees drawings produced by others.
  • Directs integration of technical activities and products.
  • Supports client meetings with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Keeps track of project schedule to ensure project is executed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and quality manner.
  • Coordinates with project team to mitigate risks associated with project.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Gas experience required.
  • Planning distribution work required.
  • Minimum BS Degree in accredited Engineering University or relevant field experience.
  • Minimum 2-8 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office and Teams skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem solving skills and comfortable making decisions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Important: Coachable engineer, eager to learn with self-motivation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFR 49 Parts 192 and 195.
  • ASME/ANSI B314 and B31.8 codes and regulations.
  • Engineer-in-Training.
  • PE License.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Citrix.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
