Job Description
The Policy & Process Analyst provides support to the department with documenting and evaluating business policy and process procedures. Assesses the impact to the Business Line's organization and processes. Coordinates process alignment recommendations with department management and facilitates changes. Assists in monitoring process improvements identified by the Business Line.
40 hours a week
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows while considering interdependencies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures and process maps.
  • Assemble reports to document process status and changes, measuring efficiency gains.
  • Maintain, update and drive the documentation of policy and procedures throughout the department, keeping them up to date in accordance with requirements.
  • Track metrics and make suggestions on areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
  • Work with partners to evaluate compliance and risk assessments.
  • Provide thought leadership on business process excellence and continuous improvement. Assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop, drive, and owns Audit planning and remediation plans in coordination with business and Internal Audit. Address any audit remediation findings and participate in audit exercises to help explain the process and deliver materials.

  • Proficient in drafting and authoring formal policy and procedure documents.
  • Proficient in documenting process workflows in MS Visio or other workflow documentation tools.
  • Ability to apply continuous improvement methodology to review and revise existing policy and procedures.
  • Skilled in MS Office Applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience working in a financial institution.
  • Ability to coordinate amongst multiple teams to meet project-based deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Process Improvement, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in process analysis/engineering or related experience.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in a banking environment.
  • Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology training.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
