Job Description

The Electromechanical Quality Assembly Technician is a pivotal role responsible for the precision assembly of electromechanical components and systems, as well as conducting rigorous inspections and tests to guarantee the quality, functionality, and compliance of these products. This role demands a unique blend of mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to quality. This ia temp to hire position onsite in Chatsworth, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

    Electromechanical Assembly:
    • Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to accurately assemble electromechanical devices and systems.
    • Utilize a range of hand and power tools, as well as soldering equipment, to assemble, install, and secure components.
  1. Quality Inspection and Testing:
    • Perform detailed inspections of electromechanical assemblies for structural quality, electrical continuity, and functional performance.
    • Document inspection findings, including any deviations from specifications or defects, and initiate corrective actions or adjustments.
  2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
    • Diagnose issues with electromechanical assemblies during and after the assembly process, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
    • Conduct routine maintenance on assembly and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Process Improvement and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine assembly and inspection processes for enhanced quality and efficiency.
    • Ensure all activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.
  4. Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries and accidents.
    • All personnel are trained in ESD safety procedures, including proper handling of ESD-sensitive components, use of grounding devices, and personal conduct in the ESD environment.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A technical diploma or associate degree in electromechanical technology, electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred (not required).
  • Experience: Prior experience in electromechanical assembly and quality inspection, preferably in a ESD controlled manufacturing or production environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical components and electrical systems, with the ability to use various testing and assembly tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and focus when assembling intricate components and conducting quality inspections.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving electromechanical issues, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Communication Abilities: Clear and effective communication skills for documenting processes, reporting inspection results, and collaborating with team members.

Work Environment:

  • The role is primarily situated in an ESD controlled manufacturing or production facility, involving work with electromechanical equipment and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift heavy objects.
  • May involve exposure to minimal noise.

Pay rate: $21.63/hr
