Join Staffmark in Moorpark, CA, as we embark on a search for a dynamic Marketing Manager to join the leading importer, marketer, and distributor of specialty cigars, tobacco, and Accessories in America. This direct-hire opportunity offers a chance to bring your creativity and drive to a passionate team.

Salary: $75,000-$100,000

In this role, the primary objectives involve establishing brand positioning, identifying target audiences, and devising comprehensive marketing plans across diverse channels and market segments. Additionally, the incumbent will drive booth and sponsorship sales by implementing strategic marketing campaigns. Educating exhibitors on industry best practices and available programs to enhance adoption rates will also be a key focus. Furthermore, executing marketing campaigns to achieve attendee growth goals and managing third-party social media partners to expand reach and elevate brand awareness are essential responsibilities. The role also entails analyzing customer insights, market trends, and industry best practices to inform and optimize marketing strategies. Lastly, collaborating with email, performance marketing, and web teams to develop and refine lead-nurturing tactics will be critical for achieving desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Increase brand awareness and market share.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies with sales, graphics, and production departments.
  • Manage branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Ensure the website contains relevant information presented clearly.
  • Manage marketing department staff.
  • Promote the brand at trade shows and industry events.
  • Develop creative briefs and guide creative direction for advertising and communications.
  • Conceptualize and execute multichannel campaigns across prospect and customer lifecycles.
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies.
  • Identify the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and optimize accordingly.
  • Present ideas and deliverables to internal and external teams.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in a marketing management role. Proficiency in electronic marketing automation software such as Pardot, as well as project management software like Asana, is required. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate extensive knowledge of various marketing strategies, channels, and branding principles. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities are essential, along with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate should have a proven track record of success in developing effective marketing plans and campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making abilities. Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools would be advantageous.
