Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud Security Engineering group is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join a team focused on designing and developing Admin Core Experience that is foundational to Okta Admin journey. We embrace innovation and pave the way to transform bright ideas into well crafted engineering platforms that help run the Workforce Identity Cloud.
Your work will be front and center to thousands of Okta customer administrators that drive Okta functionality for millions of end users. Our team strives to delight our admins as if they were consumers. Our team is at the intersection of our admins, our feature teams and sales automation.
The ideal candidate will share our passion and great pride in elegant solutions and will join an engineering group that strongly believes in designing for scale, rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and an iterative process to build high-quality next generation enterprise software.
You will work on:
- Engage in technical design and discussions and also help drive technical architecture
- Raise the bar for our teams by driving improvements in areas such as monitoring, uptime, code reviews.
- Collaborate and develop relationships with other teams to achieve our goals, in particular our TechOps (SRE) group.
- Ensure the happiness and productivity of the team's software engineers
- Help mitigate risk (technical, product, personnel)
- Identity roadblocks to success for your team and clear them
- Participate in relevant Engineering workgroups and on-call rotations
- Mentor and grow a distributed team.
- Foster, enable and promote innovation
- Define team metrics and meet productivity goals of the organization
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Prior experience working with a system at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to design and architecture.
Bonus points for:
- Full stack experience on a cloud SaaS Service
- Knowledge and familiarity of modern SDLC and technical stack.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities:
- 3+ years of experience architecting and running complex AWS or other cloud networking infrastructure resources
- Strong Java Software Development background.
- Unflappable troubleshooting skills
- BS In computer science (or equivalent experience).
